Camelot Campus 053

Camelot Campus 053 is an innovative student housing complex on the University of Twente campus, featuring 441 self-contained studios. The complex was developed within Camelot Real Estate’s micro-living vision: affordable, self-sufficient, and focused on optimal student living. To support this vision, the building is cleaned by an advanced window-cleaning robot from Kite Robotics. This robot ensures efficient, safe, and sustainable facade maintenance without infringing on residents’ privacy.

Advanced window cleaning robot for optimal maintenance

An advanced window cleaning robot from Kite Robotics is being used for efficient facade maintenance. It is specially designed for cleaning hard-to-reach glass surfaces and operates fully automatically, without manual intervention at height. The robot does not use cameras, ensuring complete protection of residents’ privacy. This technology not only contributes to the building’s sleek and clean appearance, but also to the students’ living comfort.

According to Gert Jan van de Sande, Construction Management Project Manager at Camelot, this technology aligns perfectly with Camelot Real Estate’s vision for student housing. He says: “High-quality sustainable technology that fits Camelot Real Estate’s vision for micro-living/student housing.”

Sustainable building management

The window cleaning robot at Camelot Campus 053 contributes to sustainable and efficient building management. Thanks to low water and energy consumption, the cleaning is environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Because the robot doesn’t use cameras, residents’ privacy is guaranteed, while the building always looks neat and transparent.
