New: Kite Facade Inspection System (KFIS)
Our trusted Kite facade cleaning robot just got smarter – it now has the ability to add a built-in inspection camera. This powerful upgrade takes facade maintenance to the next level by combining cleaning and visual inspection in one seamless operation. Facade maintenance is now not only cleaner, but smarter at the same time.
Kite Facade Inspection System (KFIS) – not just a closer look but also a smarter way to cut costs!
Kite is able to mount any suitable type of high definition camera on the Kite cleaning. The inspection camera is crucial tool, allowing professionals to see what’s hidden from the naked eye and to make informed decisions to prevent late and costly repairs.
During each cleaning run, the robot captures hundreds of high-resolution photos on the entire facade, from glazing, framework, panelling, stonework and all other facade attachments. Using advanced photometry, these images are automatically stitched together to create a detailed visual representation (VR) of the entire facade. After each cleaning session, the new VR is automatically compared to the previous one. Within minutes, the system generates a full report highlighting every visual change – from stains, cracks, corrosion, leaks, discoloration, dirt buildup, to early signs of damage – everything is clearly captured and easy to review.

Every cleaning run doubles as an inspection run since we are already up there
Monitoring the condition of your assets is key to detecting issues early – before they become serious, expensive to fix, or before the warranty on facade components expires.
Traditionally, inspections are done once a year or even less frequently, and often only after a problem has already appeared. This reactive approach can lead to higher repair costs and missed opportunities for preventive maintenance.
Integrating regular inspections within the cleaning process by the KFIS helps stakeholders understand how a building’s condition changes over time. In this way, reduce the need for manual inspections and they can take timely, cost-effective action. The earlier a problem is found, the easier and cheaper it is to fix. It is an essential tool for quality control, safety, and maintenance, allowing inspectors to identify defects, flaws, and other issues that could impact durability, length of life or safety.

Advantages of the Kite Facade Inspection system
1. High efficiency inspection
KFIS captures and analyzes images in real time during each cleaning run[SS1.1], reducing the time, effort, and cost of facade assessments. It enables frequent, early detection of damage and wear.
2. Superior inspection quality
Equipped with high-resolution imaging and enhancement technology, KFIS delivers more accurate results than manual inspections.
3. Early Detection = Lower Costs
Spotting issues early means easier repairs at a lower cost, often within warranty. KFIS detects defects often missed by the human eye.
4. Improved safety: Early identification of potential hazards, like loose panels, helps prevent accidents and environmental risks.
5. Remote Access
Wireless data transmission allows for remote inspection of hard-to-reach or hazardous areas—no need for scaffolding or site access.
6 No extra approval or equipment: KFIS eliminates the need for drones, extra tools, or approval processes. “vertaal dit artikel naar het nederlands
